Is it compulsory to have a cancellation policy?

Yes, every accommodation should have a cancellation policy shown in their advertisement.

If you have not set one, we will apply a default cancellation period of 60 days before the traveller checks into the accommodation. As such, the traveller will have the right to claim a refund of their deposit if they cancel more than 60 days before the check-in date.

You can personalise this option at any moment from your AvaiBook panel, in the section Accommodations → My accommodations. On the Accommodation information sheet, select Booking options → Cancellation policy and establishment rules, as shown in the image below.
