What does “verified” mean?

Verified accommodation units have passed our security protocol.
It is possible to verify accommodation in one of the following ways.

By the length of time the owner has been publishing

If the owner has been publishing accommodation on Rentalia for over 6 months, they have been subject to the doubts and opinions of other tenants. This means we know the owner better and we have more faith in them.

Because its address has been corroborated

Rentalia has corroborated the address the owner has given for their accommodation. We can corroborate the address in two ways:

  1. We can send an alpha-numerical code by post to the holiday home address. When the owner receives it, they tell us that code. We thus verify that they have access to the mailbox of the accommodation advertised.
  2. The owner may contract a professional photographer to take a album of shots. In this case, Rentalia will send a photographer to the holiday home address and thus confirm that the accommodation exists.

This protocol covers a very high margin of possible fraud cases, but we cannot guarantee its total effectiveness. If you have any doubt or suspicion or you require further information about any advertisement, please don’t hesitate to contact us on the e-mail [email protected] and we will investigate it further.

However, under no circumstances shall “verified” mean that Rentalia has corroborated the characteristics of the accommodation, the distances or the descriptions given, etc. It is the accommodation owner who is responsible for the veracity of this information.

If you are looking for more security, we have created the “Without Surprises” insurance policy in collaboration with Europ Assistance to protect your rental and your holiday.
